My 1 year old calico, Kikithingies (left), escaped through the back yard tonight. Shortly after we heard a coyote howling and a cat growling. I found her torn collar in the front yard, mixed with her hair.

I hope she managed to escaped, though the evidence says otherwise. The sun will come out soon, maybe I'll have better luck tomorrow.

UPDATE
WE FOUND HER! Even though all signs pointed towards her demise, we decided to check in the desert while it's snowing. We kept calling her name and sure enough, we heard a faint little meow coming from the desert. We ran towards the sound and she was lodged inside of a tumbleweed. The only damage is her paw got chewed off, but it doesn't look like TOO much of a big deal. We're just happy that she's alive!
